HMV Received A Grant To Organize DST INSPIRE Science Camp

Nov 22, 2014: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar is going to organize DST INSPIRE SCIENCEINTERNSHIP CAMP from January 6- 10, 2015 in the college premises.
Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj said that this science camp is an effort of the Department of Science & Technology “Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent for Science (SEATS)” to inspire top 1% scorers in 10th board exams and enrolled in 10+1 and 10+2 science for innovation & research in basic and integrated sciences leading to a promising career in scientific research.
Mr. Harpreet Singh, Co-coordinator of the programme explained that Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya received a grant of Rs. 13,00,000/- from the Department of Science and Technology to nurture 200 participants during this 5 days residential programme designed with a blend of lectures, practical sessions, scientific interactions, and institutional visits etc.
Top scientists from Indian Institute of Sciences, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Madurai Kamraj University, Banaras Hindu University, Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Thapar University, Guru Nanak Dev University will share their life time experiences with participants. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, Dean Academics, Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur, Mrs Kiranjit Kaur, Mrs. Renuka Bhatti, Dr. Meena Sharma &
Dr. Mani Sharma Heads, Department of Chemistry, Zoology, Physics, Botany, Biotechnology, respectively congratulated the Principal and the coordinator of the programme for this achievement.
