Students Of CT Group Shine In PTU Merit List & portray Academic Excellence

Nov 17, 2014: After achieving numerous milestones in the field of Sports, Cultural activities and continuous top notch placements, the students of CT Institutionshave created another commendable mark in Academics. As many as 46 students of CT Institutions have captured top ten merit positions in the Merit List ofPunjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
Time & again proving its excellence & supremacy in the field of technical education, thestudents of CT Group of Institutions namely Taniya Rana of 6th Sem B.Tech (EEE), Shelly Sharma of 8th semester B.Pharma, Amanpreet Kaur of 2nd Semester M.Sc. (BT) and Aarti Soni of semester 6 HMCT has bagged 1st positions with 88.24%, 84.50%, 87.75% and 83.50% respectively while Priya of 8th semester of B.Tech (ECE), Kavita Dadra of 4th semester M.Sc. (ATHM) and Arjun Kumar of 8th semester HMCT, bagged 2nd position with 89.58%, 87.33%, 83.45% respectively in April 2014 end semester examinations of PTU, Jalandhar. PTU has released its Merit Lists of this examination carrying names of first ten toppers of the University in each class and discipline. The college students have bagged around 46 positions in the merit list of PTU in the disciplines of Civil, EE, CSE, EEE, EE under B.Tech and MBA, BBA, BCA under Management Courses, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Architecture and Hotel Management degree courses.

In addition to the first two PTU toppers mentioned above, other students who made this rare achievement include Chanchal Rani (B.Tech-EEE 84.24%), Arpit Kumar (B.Tech EEE 84.12%), Ashwani Gupta (B.Tech IT 87.18%), Shubham Sharma (B.Tech ME 85.20%), Manpreet Kaur Bawa (M.Sc ATHM 86.83%), Jatinder Preet Singh (M.Sc. ATHM 86.50%), Gagandeep Singh (HMCT 80.50%), Gaurav Bawa (HMCT 84.67%), Manpreet Kaur (B.Sc BT 88.25%) and many more.
Feeling delighted over the achievement, the toppers of CT Group of In stitutions said that the feeling to attain the top of the merit list is something which cannot be expressed in words. The students said that they are thankful to their teachers and parents, because of whom they have been able to attain such a milestone which they shall cherish for their life.
Among the 46 merit positions holders 05 students are from CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology (CTIEMT), 10 are from CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CTIPS), 10 from CT Institute of Management and Information Technology (Maqsudan, CTIMIT), 07 from CT Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (CTIHMCT), 13 from CT Institute of Technology (CTIT) and 01 from CT Institute of Management Technology (CTIMT).
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director (CT Institutions) said that he is proud of the students and faculty whose hard work is instrumental in bringing about such a wonderful result. Undoubtedly, this is a result of scientific approach and consistent improvements in the quality of academics that the faculty has always delivered. S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions congratulated the position holders. He also wished them good luck to sustain & even excel in their positions for the upcoming examinations.
